About Me
I was born and raised in Washington. My father was a paramedic and my mother an OR nurse. I have two younger siblings; a brother who is a hospitalist and a sister who is a dental assistant. I have an Associates in Arts and Sciences from Bellevue College and for four years used to volunteer with EHMC in Kirkland.
I’ve been a nanny for 19+ years and have babysat for 25+ years. In that time, I’ve worked with ages two-months to 12-years; infant and toddler twins; nannied for families with as many as four children; and babysat for families with as many as six. I’ve handled enteral feeding; cerebral palsy; epilepsy; global developmental delays; gifted children; and household management. I have a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid with AWD; a college degree; passport; current CPR and First Aid certification; and up-to-date vaccinations, including Flu, Tdap, and COVID.
I pride myself most on being a nanny of genuine interest and engagement. The one that shows up for swim meets, soccer games, and piano recitals on off hours; remembers birthdays; or becomes an extension of an infant in my care. I’m told I’m a natural teacher, by teachers. I adore the outdoors, know how to swim, and love adventure. I bring a lot of my own supplies and toys to educate and entertain; I have over 300 children’s books!
Those in my care have enjoyed zoos, aquariums, ceramic paint studios, hiking, flying kites, launching rockets, geocaching, and so much more. My approach with the youngest is more low key, like tummy time, reading, walks, mimicking, and just experiencing the world as they do, but getting outside remains a must for me. As younger children get older I add library story times and try to find a good playgroup and/or regular play dates.
I just finished a seven month gig with two boys in Woodinville, which followed a three month gig in Kenmore. Before that was 2.75 years with a Clyde Hill family. Before her, 3.25 years nannying for a Bellevue family that had three. Before them, 2 years nannying for two in Issaquah. I still babysit for Clyde Hill and Kenmore. Bellevue moved out of state. I flew and saw them last in August. Despite recent gigs, I tend to be a multi-year nanny. I have 19+ years of references to attest to it!
My references include C-level executives at massive tech companies, doctors, lawyers, and more with a wide variety of national, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.
